A Bay Area native, Dr. Jason Angel specializes in both cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT) and dialectical behavioral treatment (DBT) for mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Angel received his Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University graduating Phi Beta Kappa and with honors and distinction. He then received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Harvard University conducting research on cognitive factors involved in major depression. Dr. Angel has worked in clinics in the Boston area, including the Bipolar Clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Institute, and the Klarman Eating Disorders Center at Mclean Hospital.
He has also worked at the Boston University Center for Anxiety (CARD). After receiving his doctoral degree at Harvard University, Dr. Angel completed his internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and completed his post-doctoral Fellowship at Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto.
Dr. Angel also speaks Spanish fluently and frequently conducts therapy in Spanish. Dr. Angel also works in both Palo Alto and the Cow Hollow/Marina neighborhood of San Francisco.
